Mr Kenichi Kuroya has been the Managing Director of “K” Line Pte Ltd and Executive Chairman of “K” Line (S) Pte Ltd since June 2003.
He launched his shipping career in 1961 with Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (“K” Line), Japan, after graduating from Kwansei Gakuin University with a Bachelor of Economics degree. Since then, he has been “sailing” with “K” Line, serving as its main spokesman at various international forums including the Far Eastern Freight Conference, Transpacific Stabilization Agreement and Intra-Asia Discussion Agreement (IADA). He was Chairman of IADA from January 2001 to August 2003.
Mr Kuroya also serves as Chairman of the Working Group for Competition Committee Singapore, under the auspices of the Singapore Shipping Association.
