Mr Richard Loo Leong Chai

Mr Loo is the Chief Executive Officer of two established Insurance broking companies in Singapore, L.C.H. (S) Pte Ltd and KIB Insurance Brokers (S) Pte Ltd. He is also a Director of underwriting agency Watkins Syndicate Hong Kong Limited, writing for Lloyd’s Syndicate No. 457, and a Director of several investment companies.
He started his career as a refinery engineer in Shell in the early 1970s. After leaving Shell, he was involved in insurance underwriting and shipowning and shipmanagement work for six years. From the early 1980s, he concentrated on insurance broking and various other investments.
Mr Loo graduated with an Electrical Engineering (Honours) degree in the late 1960s and also holds a Masters degree in Computer Science.
