Sembcorp Marine Ltd
Mr Wong Weng Sun is the President and CEO of Sembcorp Marine Ltd, as well as the Managing Director of Jurong Shipyard Private Ltd.
He graduated from the University of Technology in Malaysia in 1986 with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Marine). He then proceeded to obtain a Masters in Business Administration from Oklahoma City University.
Mr Wong joined the shipyard in 1988 as an engineer and was later appointed General Manager. He also served as Deputy President of Sembcorp Marine Ltd from July 2004 to March 2006 before becoming the President and Chief Operating Officer from 2006 to April 2009.
Apart from serving as a board member with the Singapore Maritime Foundation, Mr Wong also serves as a board member for the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore and co-chairs the Advisory Committee of the Centre of Innovation, Marine and Offshore technology, Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
