Mr Erik Borgen
Board Member
Mr Erik Borgen is the Regional Director of DnB NOR Bank in Asia and the
General Manager for its branch in Singapore. DnB NOR is the largest bank in
Norway and is one of the world's leading shipping banks. Besides ship
finance, DnB NOR also focuses on banking with offshore, logistics and energy
companies and is the market leader for the Norwegian companies in the
region.
Mr Borgen graduated with a Master of Business Administration degree from St
Gallen Business School in Switzerland. He has spent a large part of his
career in the banking sector. Mr Borgen also has some experience in the oil
industry where he worked for one of the oil majors in Norway. He was the
Global Executive Vice President of DnB Nor's Corporate Division in Norway
before he moved to Singapore in 2004.
Mr Borgen is also the Chairman of Eksportfinans, the Norwegian Export Credit
Finance Institute and concurrently, the Chairman of the Norwegian Business
Association of Singapore (NBAS).
