BG (NS) Tay Lim Heng
Past Board Member

BG (NS) Tay Lim Heng is the Chief Executive of Maritime and Port Authority
of Singapore from 2005 to April 2009.

He was awarded the Singapore Armed Forces (Overseas) scholarship and
graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Engineering Science
and Economics from the University of Oxford in 1985. He obtained a Master of
Arts in Public Administration from Harvard University in 1995. He is also a
Board member of the Centre for Maritime Studies in the National University
of Singapore and DSO National Laboratories, as well as a Member of the
Advisory Panel of The Chartered Institute of Logistics And Transport,
Singapore.

In April 2009, BG (NS) Tay stepped down as the Chief Executive of Maritime
and Port Authority of Singapore to undertake his new position as the Deputy
Secretary (Development) of the Ministry of National Development.
