“As a global citizen who relishes community service learning, I saw the scholarship as an opportunity to study in an acclaimed university in Rotterdam, the maritime hub of Europe! It enabled me to acquire sound knowledge of the maritime industry at the Centre for Maritime Economics and Logistics, Erasmus University. I made friends from all over the world! My peers in the Class of 2007 were international, funky and intellectual!
The scholarship also gave me the invaluable experience of travelling to Sweden and Hong Kong for my thesis field trip. Most significantly, I forged profound bonds of friendships with people and students beyond the university, which made my studies all the more memorable. The strong camaraderie we shared is more than words can describe! All the memories and growth I have experienced during my stay in the Netherlands have left indelible footprints in my heart.
