“Being fascinated by the dynamic and booming maritime industry, I decided to pursue the BSc Maritime Studies degree course conducted by NTU. It is through a talk about the course at the university that I chanced upon the scholarship offered by SMF. Having a strong interest in this industry that practically 'moves the world', I decided to go further by applying for this scholarship.
Being an SMF scholar has opened many doors of opportunities for me to meet the movers and shakers of the maritime industry. It has also made me more aware of my position in the industry, and the value I can add in helping Singapore establish itself as a maritime hub. I am proud to be a part of the SMF and its efforts in promoting the diverse local maritime industry and Singapore as an International Maritime Centre.”
