“A love for the sea and a passion for shipping gave me the drive to pursue the Maritime Studies (BSc) course in Nanyang Technological University. The scholarship provided the opportunity to pursue the course and acted as a springboard for my exploration of the complex international shipping industry. An overseas exchange programme in Norway is an integral part of the Maritime Studies course and it is an excellent experience to acquire out of the four-year degree course. Being able to meet different people, experience a different culture and understand the shipping practices of another country from the exchange are definitely opportunities that I would never get elsewhere.”
