Maritime Pavilion at Career 2008 & Education 2008
28 February to 2 March 2008
The maritime industry made its presence felt at the Career 2008 & Education 2008, held 28 February to 2 March 2008 at the Suntec Convention Centre. The exhibition, which attracted 371,326 visitors, was targetted at those seeking education and job opportunities.
The Singapore Maritime Foundation organised the Maritime Pavilion for Career 2008 & Education 2008 with seven key maritime establishments in Singapore. With the collaboration of the seven maritime partners, the Maritime Pavilion was able to showcase the diverse career opportunities available in the maritime industry, heighten the public awareness of the maritime industry to Singaporeans and to promote and attract talents into our maritime industry.
For the first time, the Maritime Pavilion incorporated a special series of seminars for the maritime professionals to interact with the participants and share real-life knowledge about the maritime industry. These seminars gave insight into the overview of the maritime industry, career prospects and job opportunities available. There were also presentations by the Maritime Pavilion exhibitors which highlighted the varied career opportunities and educational programmes by the various academic institutions.
The Maritime Pavilion was supported by our partners, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), Association of Singapore Marine Industries (ASMI), Singapore Shipping Association (SSA), and Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers Singapore (SNAMES).
