Movers and shakers of the Singapore
maritime industry gathered at Voices of Asia, SMF New Year Cocktail
Reception to celebrate the success of 2007 and usher in the new year. Over
320 senior maritime professionals attended the networking event.
Guest-of-Honour, Minister Raymond Lim graced the occasion and highlighted the
key achievements of the maritime industry in 2007.
The SMF Board of Directors also received their letters of appointments in
the Singapore Maritime Foundation from Chairman, SMF. Guests were
entertained by the illustrations by the roaming caricaturist and watched the
master artist wave his magical brush and create Chinese calligraphy works. Some
even tried their hands on the Malay traditional games and making their own origami
crafts. A unique doorgift- a torchlight that works on kinetic energy was
also given to each guest to drive home the environmental message.
