In conjunction with the Maritime Week 2008, SMF orchestrated the SMF Networking Reception for ship owners, ship brokers, ship financiers and marine insurance practitioners.
This is SMF's main highlight of the week, a social event for many maritime luminaries to network and socialize, to bridge new business connections and foster potential business collaborations. It was a night of revelry as close to 150 guests arrived smartly attired for the night event.
Under the enchanting ambience of the Raffles Hotel's Bar & Billiard Room, guests were presented a delectable spread of cuisine, and a fine selection of wine. Our Guest-of-honour for the night was Mr Peter Ong, Chairman of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Trade and Industry, Second Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Finance and his presence added significance to the night event. The networking reception also served as a platform for the associates who are acquaintances to mingle and catch up in a relaxed setting. There were ample opportunities for our photographer to capture all the actions. We thank all the guests who turned up and hope to have the presence of more distinguished guests in our event next year.
