In November 2008, the Singapore Maritime Foundation (SMF) and Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) collaborated with
The Business Times to heighten the awareness of the maritime sector through the
Transport Hub pages.
As part of the partnership,
The Business Times agreed to dedicate a section of the Wednesday
Transport Hub pages to feature maritime news and articles. On the other hand, SMF and MPA would work to invite industry experts and leaders to contribute insightful commentaries about their fields of specialisations, news and trends.
The working committee which comprises editorial staff of
The Business Times, Corporate Communications staff of SMF and MPA meet on a regular basis to determine the monthly themes and identify suitable interviewees and companies for this partnership. The inaugural
Transport Hub supplement was circulated to the maritime community during the
SSA Anniversary Gala Dinner in 2008.
