The 8th Singapore Maritime Foundation (SMF) Strategic HR & PR Networking Session was held on 12th October at Ange Café, Robinsons The Heeren, and attended by over 70 HR and PR professionals, and close partners from the maritime industry.
Mr David Chin, Executive Director of SMF, gave the opening address to thank partners for their unyielding support. Ms Krystle Huan, Ms Nina Liang, and Ms Regina Lim from SMF provided an update on SMF initiatives for the year’s profiling and manpower development projects, while Ms Aidil Suraya from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) introduced the Maritime Cluster Fund (MCF) before the networking segment.
Guests had an enjoyable time interacting with friends from the community over a selection of canapes from artisanal choux such as Angela May’s special Dark Chocolate Choux, to savoury bites including the Carrot Cumin Demisphere Duck Tartlette, and were also treated to a live Kueh Pie Tee station where they could customise their small bites with ingredients such as blue cheese and kale.
About the Organizer
The Singapore Maritime Foundation (SMF) was established on 27 January 2004 to facilitate dialogue and cooperation among maritime stakeholders from the public and private sectors. As the bridge between the public and private sectors, SMF aims to provide the industry with a clear and representative voice, and spearhead projects to boost its development.
SMF also organises and participates in a host of maritime events to strengthen the Maritime Singapore brand. To date, SMF has significantly benefitted from strong support from all sectors of the industry which has enabled the organisation to reach out directly to the community for new areas of work to improve the current maritime ecosystem.
