About the Event
A joint event in partnership with SCMA, the Singapore Academy of Law held a mock arbitration demonstration at SGX Centre 1 on 23 September 2019. The mock scenario was based on a fictional bulk shipping dispute to showcase SCMA arbitration and demonstrate how evidence is presented and challenged in a realistic and complex arb-med-arb scenario.
It was an opportunity for the audience to experience the arbitral proceedings role played by SAL’s Senior Accredited Specialists in Maritime and Shipping Law and industry experts, and to see how the tribunal arrives at a decision at the end of the mock hearing. The audience was also given the chance to have their questions answered during the Q&A session.
