The MSC Connexions Forum organised by the Maritime Singapore Connect (MSC) Office ran as a virtual webinar.
This half-day session was organised specially for those in the HR and PR functions of the maritime industry, and those working with students and jobseekers in schools and various career centres under Workforce Singapore (WSG) and the Employment and Employability Institute (e2i). It gathered attendees to discuss maritime manpower development-related issues, offering education and career guidance coaches as well as maritime employers industry insight while addressing employment trends.
Invited speakers included Ms Keidi Tay, Frontend Developer of ShipsFocus Group and Mr Ang Wee-Tiong, CEO & Founder of JobTech.
The panel discussion on “Post COVID-19: Reimagining the Future of Work in the Maritime Industry” involved Ms Ng Hwee Leng, Director of People & Organisation of IMC Industrial Group, Mr Mark Ko, Executive Director of Tian San Shipping (Pte) Ltd and Mr Mayank Parekh, Chief Executive Officer of the Institute for Human Resource Professionals (IHRP). The session was moderated by Ms Sumita Tandon, Director HR Business Partner of LinkedIn Talent and Learning Solutions Asia Pacific.
