On the morning of 15th May, SMF held our first 𝗖-𝗦𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁 of the year, gathering more than 100 maritime leaders for a fruitful time of knowledge sharing and executive networking.
Professor Tan Kong Yam from the Nanyang Technological University Singapore presented on the timely topic of “𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗺𝗽 𝟮.𝟬 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝘆𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗰𝘀: 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰.” A noted economist and China observer, Prof. Tan expounded on how U.S.-China geopolitical developments could impact manufacturing supply chains and global trade.
